11.06.09<<CLOUDCO KEEPS LONDON MOVING WITH LANDMARK CYCLE PARKING>>
London commuters faced 48 hours of London Underground strike action on 10 – 11 June forcing commuters to squeeze onto London buses, take to the River Thames or get on their bikes.
Continuing our close association with London–based Limelight Sports, we responded quickly to a request by Transport for London to design and install promotional cycle parks at four landmark locations across Central London, coupled with a last minute media campaign across London’s evening newspapers, radio and television, encouraging commuters to cycle to work leaving their bicycles at one of the cycle parks.
With just 48 hours before the start of the strike action, CloudCo worked closely with the location management teams at Waterloo, Trafalgar Square, Tower Bridge and Royal Parks to compile risk documents, design cycle parks layout, design & print signage, organise 4 install teams, on-site security as well as contingency planning – what to do with unclaimed cycles for example during our 48 hour period in London.

For CloudCo, this, the second consecutive year producing the awards event, the ceremony culminates 3 months work collating awards submissions, filming the judging process and preparing for the event itself.
Nick Carter, CloudCo Director is delighted with the success of this year's event.
"Following a great 2007 awards event, we were keen to suggest to Sainsbury's making a film to chart the Local Heroes story which this year has involved filming the judging panel, Local Heroes in their own stores and looking ahead, continuing the story all the way to South Africa"
